Jio Rs 15 5G Pack Price in India and Availability
The Rs 15 Truly Unlimited 5G Data Pack is a data-only add-on, not a full recharge plan. It costs Rs 15 and carries 1 day (24 hours) of validity. Jio says the pack is available pan-India, across all telecom circles, and can be activated instantly through the MyJio app, Jio.com, Reliance Retail and general-trade stores, third-party recharge platforms and Jio’s enterprise portal.
Reports differ slightly on timing — some say the pack went live immediately on 4 November, others that it opens for eligible prepaid users on 5 November. Either way, it is available to buy now, and you should see the Rs 15 denomination in the MyJio app’s data booster or 5G upgrade section.
What You Get — and What You Do Not
The pack gives unlimited high-speed data on Jio’s True 5G network for 24 hours — aimed at 4K streaming, online gaming, large downloads and remote work for a day. Jio describes it as “truly unlimited”, suggesting no fixed daily data cap inside that window.
What it is not: it is a pure data booster. It does not add voice calling minutes, SMS benefits or extra SIM validity — it rides on top of your existing prepaid plan. Most reports describe it as an add-on used with an active base prepaid plan, so if your base plan has expired, recharge that first.
Who Should Buy It — and the Honest Catch
This pack makes sense when you need a lot of data for exactly one day: a big download, a match day, a work-from-home emergency, or a day of heavy streaming while travelling. At Rs 15, it is cheaper than most daily data add-ons and far cheaper than upgrading to a bigger monthly plan for one heavy day.
The honest catch: Jio’s announcement, as reported, does not spell out a fair-usage policy or any speed-reduction threshold after very heavy use, so “truly unlimited” should be read as Jio’s marketing term, not a tested guarantee. Check the eligibility and terms shown in the MyJio app before recharging — coverage, a 5G phone and an active base plan all matter.
How to Recharge the Jio Rs 15 5G Pack
- Open the MyJio app and look for the data booster or 5G upgrade section.
- Select the Rs 15 denomination.
- Pay through the app, Jio.com, a retail store or a third-party recharge platform.
- Use it within 24 hours of activation, in a Jio True 5G coverage area, on a 5G-compatible phone.
How It Compares With Jio’s Other 5G Upgrades
Jio already sells longer 5G upgrade vouchers — for example, the Rs 51 and Rs 151 True 5G upgrades that run with your base plan and add some 4G data. The new Rs 15 pack is different: it is the shortest, cheapest option, built for a single day rather than a month. If you need unlimited 5G for more than a day or two, a longer voucher or a 2GB-per-day base plan still works out better.
Our take: at Rs 15 for a full day, this is one of the most genuinely useful small packs Jio has launched in a while — a “buy it only when you need it” pack, which is exactly how data boosters should work.
