Apple Touchscreen MacBook Pro Price in India and Availability

Apple is selling the new MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, each with M5 Pro or M5 Max chip options, in Silver and Space Black colours:

  • 14-inch, M5 Max: Rs 5,49,900 onwards

With education savings, the 14-inch M5 Pro starts at Rs 3,31,900 and the 16-inch at Rs 3,85,900. Pre-orders opened on October 28, and sales begin on November 9 through the Apple India online store, Apple Stores and authorised resellers. Launch offers reported by Business Standard include Rs 15,000 cashback on eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, plus no-cost EMI plans of up to 12 months.

Apple Touchscreen MacBook Pro Specifications and Features

Quick rundown: 14.2-inch / 16.3-inch tandem OLED touchscreen (PROLED XDR), 10–120Hz adaptive refresh, up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, M5 Pro / M5 Max chips, up to 128GB unified memory, up to 16TB storage, up to 24 hours claimed battery life, Dynamic Island, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

Display and Touch

The headline change is the screen itself. The PROLED XDR display stacks two OLED layers for up to 2,000 nits peak brightness (1,000 nits full-screen), a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 10–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It supports touch gestures — scroll, pinch to zoom and draw directly on screen — plus P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces and reference modes for film, photography, print and medical imaging. The iPhone-style Dynamic Island comes to the Mac, holding Spotlight, Live Activities and other controls.

Performance

Both sizes run on Apple’s M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, built for video editing, software development, 3D rendering and on-device AI work, with unified memory up to 128GB and storage up to 16TB. Note the distinction buyers must not miss: these touchscreen models are separate from the 14-inch M6 MacBook Pro announced a day earlier, which keeps a non-touch Liquid Retina XDR display but carries the newer base M6 chip.

Battery and Connectivity

Apple claims up to 24 hours of battery life depending on configuration. Connectivity includes three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Apple has also redesigned the laptops to be thinner and lighter than their non-touchscreen counterparts.

Should You Buy It?

Honestly, at Rs 3,49,900 onwards this is a professional’s machine, not an impulse upgrade — the touchscreen and OLED display matter most to creators, photographers and video editors who will actually touch, draw and colour-grade on the screen. Everyone else gets a better deal from the cheaper non-touch M6 MacBook Pro. If you do buy, the education pricing and the Rs 15,000 cashback are worth checking before November 9.
