Jio’s voice-only plans in India now start at Rs 147, with unlimited calls and SMS and no mobile data. If you mainly call and text — and use Wi-Fi for the internet — these are the cheapest Jio recharges available, and this page lists every one of them.
Quick Facts
- Starting price: Rs 147 for 22 days.
- Calls: unlimited domestic calls on all plans.
- SMS: from 300 SMS on the short plans to 3,600 SMS on the longest plan.
- Longest plan: Rs 1,748 for 336 days.
- Why these plans exist: TRAI’s mandated packs rule requires operators to offer voice-and-SMS-only packs, so customers who do not need data are not forced to pay for it.

What Does the Rs 197 Calendar-Month Plan Mean?
The Rs 197 plan lasts one calendar month, not 28 or 30 days. That means if you recharge on, say, 5 November, it runs to 5 December — the same date next month. It is a small detail, but it matters: a calendar month is easier to remember than counting 28 days, and it ends the old complaint that “28 days is not a month”.
Which Plan Makes Sense?
- Rs 147 — lowest entry: about Rs 6.68 per day, the cheapest way to get started.
- Rs 197 — same-date monthly: the simplest monthly option, renewing on the same date each month.
- Rs 1,748 — cheapest per day: about Rs 5.20 per day over 336 days, the best value if you want to recharge once and forget about it for almost a year.
Who Are These Plans For?
These plans are made for feature-phone users, senior citizens, second-SIM users and Wi-Fi users — anyone who calls and texts a lot but gets their internet from home or office Wi-Fi. They are not for data users: there is no mobile data included, so if you need data on the go, a regular data plan is still the right choice.
One Honest Detail
Only the four short plans are new. The Rs 448 and Rs 1,748 plans existed since 2025; they are now grouped together with the new plans under TRAI Mandated Packs. That grouping is what makes the full list easy to find in one place. For comparison, Airtel’s voice-only packs start from Rs 185 and Vi’s from Rs 179 — so at Rs 147, Jio’s entry plan is the cheapest of the three.
How to Recharge
Recharge through the MyJio app or the Jio website. Before paying, check the plan details on the recharge page — validity, SMS count and any included benefits — so the plan you buy matches the one in the list above.
In our opinion, this is the first time the cheapest recharge is also a clean one: no data you did not ask for, no confusion about validity, and with Rs 197, the end of the “28 days is not a month” complaint.
