What You Get for Rs 35
The Rs 35 pack is a data voucher with an entertainment twist. It gives you 1GB of mobile data and access to any two premium regional OTT platforms through the Vi Movies & TV app. The two benefits run on different clocks: the data lasts 7 days, while the OTT access lasts 28 days. The pack does not add service validity to your number — it only works on top of an active base recharge.
The 6 OTT Options and 9 Languages
You can pick any two of these six platforms when you activate the pack:
- SonyLIV South — Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada content
- Chaupal — Punjabi, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri content
- ManoramaMAX — Malayalam entertainment
- KLiKK — Bengali entertainment
- AddaTimes — Bengali entertainment
- Aao NXT — Odia content
Together they cover nine Indian languages, so the pack is aimed squarely at regional-language viewers who do not want to pay for a separate streaming subscription for each language they watch.
How to Activate the Vi Rs 35 Pack
Eligible Vi prepaid customers with an active service-validity recharge can activate the pack through the Vi app or through authorised third-party recharge channels. After buying it, choose your two OTT platforms inside Vi Movies & TV. The subscriptions are mobile-only — you cannot watch them on a television through this pack. If you want to keep the OTT access going after 28 days, you buy the pack again.
Who Should Buy It — and Who Should Not
This pack makes sense if you already have an active Vi base plan and you watch regional movies or shows on your phone. At Rs 35 — about Rs 5 a day over the data’s life — two OTT apps for a month is genuinely cheap. It does not make sense as a standalone recharge: with no base plan it does nothing, and the 1GB of data is only enough for light use. Vi launched four voice-only plans last month under TRAI’s mandate; this Rs 35 add-on is a different thing entirely — entertainment, not calling.
Our take: for regional-language viewers on Vi, this is the cheapest way to get two OTT apps for a month — just remember the data runs out in a week while the OTTs keep going for four.
